What is Pressure Sore?
A pressure sore, also known as a pressure ulcer or bed sore, is an area of damaged skin and underlying tissue that occurs due to prolonged pressure on the skin. This pressure restricts blood flow to the affected area, leading to tissue damage and necrosis. Pressure sores are most common in areas where the skin covers bony prominences, such as the heels, ankles, hips, and tailbone.
Using TriDerma Pressure Sore Cream along with Pressure Sore Relief Wound Cleanser involves a coordinated approach to both cleaning and protecting the wound. Here’s how to use these products together effectively:
Steps for Using TriDerma Pressure Sore Cream and Pressure Sore Relief Wound Cleanser:
Cleanse the Wound:
• Use the Pressure Sore Relief Wound Cleanser to gently clean the affected area.
• Spray or apply the cleanser directly to the wound and surrounding skin.
• Gently pat the area dry with a clean, soft cloth or allow it to air dry.
Apply the Cream:
• After the area is clean and dry, apply a thin layer of TriDerma Pressure Sore Cream.
• Make sure to cover the entire affected area with the cream.
Rub it in gently, ensuring it is well absorbed.
Protect and Monitor:
• If necessary, cover the wound with a sterile dressing or bandage to protect it from further irritation and infection.
• Change the dressing regularly, following medical advice or manufacturer’s instructions, and reapply the cleanser and cream as needed.
