5 Great Skincare Tips For Men this Movember

5 Great Skincare Tips For Men this Movember

19th Nov 2015

It’s mid-November, which means Movember or No Shave November is in full force. What is that, you may ask? Movember, a combination of the words mustache and November, is a movement in which people all over the world forego shaving their facial hair to bring more attention to health concerns men confront. With a focus on improving cancer, mental health, and physical inactivity issues, this cause is changing the face of men’s health.

We appreciate all the men who decided to ditch the razor and grow a mustache to raise awareness for men’s health issues. A healthy mustache starts with healthy skin, and we have just the tips for you to keep your skin and mustache happy and hearty.

  • Exfoliate– Dried out, dull skin is not a good look on anybody, but exfoliating is. Exfoliating with our Spot & Wrinkle Erasing Scrub™ gently removes excess dead skin cells that can cause acne and ingrown hairs. We recommend that you exfoliate once a week to keep your skin vibrant and smooth.
  • Keep It Clean– First things first, get rid of your bar soap. Bar soap dries out your skin and can make your mustache itchy and flaky. Try using a natural, soothing cleanser like our Extra Pure Healing Gel™. By cleansing your skin daily, you are removing accumulated dirt and other debris that can cause breakouts.
  • Moisturize– Skin under facial hair is prone to become very dry because the growing hair pulls existing moisture from your skin. After cleansing your face, nourish with our Last Sensitive Skin Healing™ Moisturizer to help keep your skin moisturized and hydrated.
  • Trim– No one likes an uneven, messy looking mustache. Use hair scissors or a trimmer to trim your mustache just over the lip. Only trim when the hair is dry because wet hair might make you accidentally trim too much.
  • Style/Comb-To avoid having tangled and untidy hair, make sure to comb frequently. If you have very little hair try using wax to fill in the gaps. You can also use wax to deal with those pesky stray hairs.
