4 Unexpected Ways to Naturally Treat Diaper Rash

4 Unexpected Ways to Naturally Treat Diaper Rash

25th Jul 2018

There’s a lot that comes with taking care of a baby, and a pesky diaper rash can make it even harder. Diaper rash is something all babies get from time to time, so knowing the right ways to treat it matters. At TriDerma, we believe that natural remedies are the best remedies. The wrong products can even worsen the situation. That’s why on today’s blog, we’re sharing our favorite natural and unexpected ways to treat your baby’s diaper rash.

1.) Raw Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is a simple way to help treat diaper rashes caused by alkaline urine. Just mix two to three tablespoons into a lukewarm bath and let your baby’s rash soak for 15 minutes. You can also use apple cider vinegar to help prevent diaper rash by mixing one tablespoon with eight ounces of water and applying the solution with a spray bottle after each diaper change.

2.) Tea with Honey

Tea with honey isn’t just soothing for sore throats! In a spray bottle, combine two cups of chamomile tea with a teaspoon of honey, then spray the rash periodically throughout the day. Chamomile is also commonly known as a “herbal aspirin” due to its natural pain-reducing and anti-inflammatory properties. When combined with honey, the mixture acts as a natural antiseptic to help promote healing.

3.) Oatmeal Bath

Steeping a half cup of old-fashioned oats in your baby’s bath water is another effective way to help soothe your baby’s skin and heal diaper rash. Oatmeal baths effectively help fight diaper rash, but they aren’t just for babies! If you struggle with dry skin, an oatmeal bath can work for you too.

4.) TriDerma’s Stubborn Diaper Rash™ Healing Cream

For chronic, painful and reoccurring rashes, let TriDerma take the lead! Our Stubborn Diaper Rash™ Healing Cream is a medical strength botanical healing cream formulated to help quickly relieve hard-to-heal diaper rash. The cream is free of parabens, cortisone, steroids and other ingredients that may be harmful to your baby, and is also safe to use daily to help prevent diaper rash from reoccurring!

As always, be cautious when applying anything directly to your babies’sensitive skin and consult a doctor if symptoms get worse.
